“Change starts with us”

We will be partaking in Odd Socks Day on Tuesday 12th November .

This is an oppertunity to encourage everyone  to express themselves & celebrate their individuality & what makes us all inique!

Please send your child in to school on Tuesday 12th November with Odd Socks.

15th November is Children in Need day and we at Arden Forest Infant school will be supporting the charity as usual.

This is a Non-uniform day and children can come in their own clothes – the theme for the day is

The Big Colour clash and we are asking for a £1.00 donation on the day.

WALK TO SCHOOL BREAKFAST

We are holding a “Walk to School Breakfast

on Wednesday 6TH November.  Doors will open

at 8:15am and everyone is welcome including

younger and older siblings.

We will be serving a selection of healthy breakfasts

for you to try.   Please come along and join in.

Children will be taken into school at normal time.

There will be no charge for the breakfast however we do ask for donations towards the cost.

What a busy and exciting few weeks we have had at the start of this term. Reception children are now in full time and are loving all of the different learning opportunities that are in the Early Years provision.
This week the children in Key Stage One walked to St James church for their Harvest Celebration. The walk alone was an exciting adventure! Due to the size of the church and health and safety, we had to limit the numbers of guests and we did not anticipate that this would be ‘sold out!’ This was unprecedented as we have not had such support for a Harvest Celebration before. Many thanks to the volunteers who walked with us, parents who were able to join us and all of the contributions of food that are now being donated to Coventry Food Bank.
This morning we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning. There was a good atmosphere in the hall as many parents enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. We are currently counting up how much money was raised and will let you know.
Finally, on Tuesday 8th October at 9.30am, we are having a forum for parents and carers to contribute to a discussion about behaviour, rewards and sanctions. If you are able to attend, you will be welcomed.
Mrs R Gunn, Headteacher
Governors

Thanks to those who attended our Macmillan Coffee morning today.  Thank you for your kind donations which will be sent to the charity as soon as possible.

We are also going to sell the few cakes that are left after school this afternoon in the playground, bring plenty of change..
