School council
The School Council consists two members of each class from Arden Forest, who meet with Mrs Winfield every week.
We help Mrs Gunn, our Headteacher, by working on things that she needs help with and where she wants to know what the children in school think. We listen to the children in our class and share their ideas at our meetings.
This year:
- We held a competition to name our school families with The Chair of Governors
- We monitored handwriting in school through a ‘book look’ with feedback to our classes. We also made some new rules and voted that rubbers shouldn’t be used in our books because we need to see our progress.
- We found out what our class most ‘memorable learning moments’ and our ‘boring bits’ are.
- We talked to school Governors at a meeting and through videos about our work.
- We worked with Miss Gailey to support her Safer Internet assembly and workshop with families.
